GETTING STARTED
The basics: what Questbet.co is, who can use it and how to place your first wager.
Questbet.co is an Australian online wagering service operated by Questbet Pty Ltd under Victorian licence VIC-BM-2024-2285. It offers markets on Australian and international sport and on horse, greyhound and harness racing.
You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Australia. During registration you confirm your age and provide your residential address; identity verification is completed before you can withdraw.
- Browse Sports or Racing and open the event you want.
- Select the odds for your outcome — it is added to your Bet Slip.
- Enter a stake in AUD and review the potential return.
- Choose Place Bet. You need to be logged in to confirm the wager.
The minimum stake is AUD 1.00 per bet. Maximum stakes vary by market and are shown in the Bet Slip before you confirm.
Showdown is a separate wagering product with its own account, balance and responsible gambling controls. See the Showdown page for how it works and how it differs from your main account.
MY ACCOUNT
Help with account access, personal details, security and account settings.
- Choose Join Now at the top of any page.
- Enter your personal details, address and a username and password.
- Confirm you are 18 or over and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
- Check your email for the verification code and enter it to activate the account.
Choose Log In, enter the email address you registered with and your password. If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot password? link on the Log In screen.
- Use the 'Forgot password?' option on the Log In screen.
- Enter the email address associated with your Questbet.co account.
- Follow the instructions sent to your email to reset your password.
- If you still cannot access your account, contact Questbet.co support.
Your name and date of birth are verified and cannot be changed by you. To update your address, mobile number or email, contact Customer Support with the new details; a change may require a further identity check.
Log in, open your account settings and choose Change password. You will be asked for your current password and a new one of at least 8 characters with a letter and a number.
Accounts are restricted when identity verification is incomplete, when a deposit limit or break is active, when BetStop reports a self-exclusion, or while a security review is under way. The restriction reason is shown in your account and in the email we send you.
Log in and open Account activity. Every deposit, withdrawal, wager and settlement is listed with its date, amount and reference number. You can filter by type and date range.
Contact Customer Support and ask for account closure. Any open wagers are settled first and your remaining balance is returned to your verified payment method. Closure is different from self-exclusion — see Responsible Gambling if you want to restrict access rather than close the account.
VERIFICATION
Why identity checks are required, what documents are accepted and how long it takes.
Australian law requires licensed wagering operators to verify that customers are 18 or over and are who they say they are. Until verification is complete you can deposit and wager, but you cannot withdraw.
An Australian driver licence, passport or Medicare card is usually enough for an electronic check. If the electronic check fails, we may ask for a photo of the document and a recent proof of address.
Most electronic checks complete within a few minutes. Manual document reviews are completed within two business days; we email you when the outcome is ready.
- Check that the name and date of birth on your account exactly match your document.
- Upload a clear, uncropped photo of the document.
- If it still fails, contact Customer Support with your account ID.
Documents are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored only for as long as the law requires. See the Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
Accepted payment methods, deposit limits and what happens when a deposit does not arrive.
Visa and Mastercard debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayID. Credit cards are not accepted for betting in Australia.
Australian law prohibits licensed online wagering operators from accepting credit cards, credit-linked digital wallets and cryptocurrency. Only debit-funded methods are available.
The minimum deposit is AUD 10. There is no fee for depositing.
If you have set a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit, deposits that would take you over the limit are declined. You can review or change your limit on the Deposit Limits page; increases take effect after a 7-day cooling-off period.
- Check your bank or wallet app for a pending transaction.
- Card and wallet deposits normally appear instantly; PayID can take up to a few minutes.
- If the money has left your account but is not in your Questbet.co balance after 30 minutes, contact Customer Support with the transaction reference.
SPORTS BETTING
Markets, odds formats, settlement rules and what happens when an event is postponed.
AFL, NRL, football, cricket, tennis and basketball are listed on the Sports page, with more sports under More Sports. The number of open markets for each sport is shown on the home page.
Odds are shown in decimal format. A stake of AUD 20.00 at 1.42 returns AUD 28.40 including your stake. You can change the odds format in your preferences.
Match Winner markets are settled on the official result declared by the governing body, normally within an hour of the final siren or whistle. Markets that depend on statistics may take longer.
If the event is not completed within 48 hours of the scheduled start, wagers are void and stakes are returned. Specific competition rules are set out in the Terms & Conditions.
Cash out is not offered in this version of Questbet.co. Wagers remain open until the event is settled.
RACING
Win and place markets, scratchings, dead heats and how "next to jump" works.
A Win bet pays if your runner finishes first. A Place bet pays if it finishes in a place — first, second or third in fields of eight or more runners, first or second in fields of five to seven.
If your runner is scratched before the race, the wager is void and the stake is returned to your balance. Where a fixed-odds market is affected, remaining prices may be adjusted under the deduction rules in the Terms & Conditions.
When two or more runners dead heat, the stake is divided by the number of runners in the dead heat and paid at the full odds on that portion.
The next five races to start across all Australian meetings, ordered by start time. The countdown updates while you are on the page.
A Same Race Multi combines two or more runners from the same race into one wager — for example one to win and another to finish in the top three. Every leg must succeed for the multi to pay.
SHOWDOWN
The separate Showdown account, its balance and its own responsible gambling controls.
Yes. Showdown operates on separate infrastructure and requires its own account, which you create from the Showdown page once you are logged in.
No. The Showdown account has its own balance. Funds are not shared between the two products.
Limits and self-exclusion settings on your main Questbet.co account do not automatically apply to Showdown, and vice versa. Set limits for the Showdown account before you wager.
Yes. Contact Customer Support and ask for the Showdown account to be closed; your main account is unaffected.
BET SLIP
Adding and removing selections, stakes, potential return and multis.
Select the odds next to any outcome. The selection appears in the Bet Slip on the right of the page (or in the bar at the bottom of the screen on a phone).
Choose Remove × on the selection in the Bet Slip, or select the same odds again.
Stake × odds. With more than one selection the odds are multiplied together as a multi, so a AUD 20.00 stake at 1.62 and 2.10 returns AUD 68.04.
- You need to be logged in to place a wager.
- The stake must be at least AUD 1.00 and within your available balance.
- A deposit limit, break or self-exclusion may be active on your account.
Yes. Selections are kept on your device, and once you log in they are stored with your account, so you can continue from another device.
TRANSACTIONS & WITHDRAWALS
How to withdraw, how long it takes and where to find your transaction history.
- Complete identity verification if you have not already.
- Log in and open Withdraw in your account.
- Choose the verified payment method and enter the amount.
- Confirm — you will receive an email when the withdrawal is processed.
Withdrawals are processed within one business day. Your bank may take a further one to three business days to show the funds.
The minimum withdrawal is AUD 10. There is no fee for withdrawing.
Withdrawals are returned to the method used to deposit, up to the amount deposited. If that method is closed, contact Customer Support with proof of the replacement account.
Every deposit, withdrawal, wager and settlement is listed under Account activity with its reference number.
RESPONSIBLE GAMBLING
Deposit limits, taking a break, self-exclusion, BetStop and where to get support.
Open the Deposit Limits page, choose a daily, weekly or monthly cycle and enter the maximum you are comfortable depositing. Decreases apply immediately; increases take effect after a 7-day cooling-off period.
A short-term restriction on your account — 24 hours to six weeks — during which you cannot deposit or wager. It cannot be lifted early.
Self-exclusion restricts your account for a longer period, from three months to permanently. Register with BetStop to exclude yourself from all licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers with one registration.
BetStop is the Australian Government's National Self-Exclusion Register. Questbet.co must comply with an active BetStop exclusion — see the BetStop page for what happens to your account.
Gambling Help Online offers free and confidential support 24/7 on 1800 858 858 and at gamblinghelponline.org.au.
